What It Is

The Energy Leadership Index or ELI is an assessment developed by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching or iPEC that measures your energetic patterns, your mindset, and how you respond to life and business. Think of it as a way to really see yourself clearly. Not just what you do, but why you do it. Why some moments feel heavier than they should, why you pull back even when you know you are ready, and why other times things just flow and you feel like yourself again.
 

It brings awareness to the patterns shaping your experience so you can start choosing something different instead of living in the same cycles on repeat. Because it is not that you are doing something wrong. Most of the time you are just operating from patterns you have been in for so long they feel normal. This shows you how you show up when you are under pressure and how you show up when you feel supported, open, and grounded. You start to notice where you are reacting from fear or protection and where you are responding from clarity, ownership, and possibility. And once you see it, something opens up. You catch yourself in real time. You pause instead of spiral. You understand your reactions instead of judging them. You start moving in a way that actually feels like you.
 

It is not about fixing you. It is about meeting yourself in a deeper, more honest way so you can move forward with more clarity, more intention, and a level of self trust that changes how you show up in everything.

What It Matters

You start to see yourself more clearly. The patterns behind your decisions, your reactions, and the results you have been creating. The things that used to feel confusing begin to make sense. You understand why certain moments trigger you, why you hesitate, and why other times you feel fully in your flow. With that awareness, decisions feel lighter, emotions feel more manageable, and you are no longer stuck overthinking every move.
 

And from there, something shifts. You lead yourself differently. You respond with more intention instead of reacting from pressure or fear. You uncover patterns that have been running in the background and finally have the space to change them. You feel the difference in how you move, less force, more clarity. And this is not just a temporary shift. It is the kind of awareness that creates real, lasting change in how you show up in your life and your work.
 

You begin to trust yourself in a deeper way. Not because everything is perfect, but because you understand yourself. You are not constantly second guessing your decisions or questioning your direction. You know how to catch yourself when you slip into old patterns and how to shift back into a more grounded, intentional way of moving. And that changes everything. Your leadership feels stronger. Your decisions feel cleaner. Your energy feels more aligned. This is where growth becomes sustainable, because it is no longer about pushing harder, it is about operating from a place that actually supports the life and results you want to create.

The 7 Levels of Energy

Level 1: Victim
This is where everything feels heavy and out of your control. Life feels like it is happening to you and no matter what you do, it does not feel like enough. There can be frustration, blame, or even a sense of being stuck. It is not weakness, it is just where your energy goes when things feel overwhelming or uncertain.

 

Level 2: Conflict
Here, you start to push back. You try to take control, to fix, to prove, to get it right. There is more action, but it often comes with tension. You might feel driven, but also drained. It can look productive, but underneath there is pressure and a constant sense of needing to keep up.

 

Level 3: Responsibility
This is where things begin to shift. You start taking ownership of your choices, your actions, and your results. You become more grounded, more focused, more intentional. There is structure here, discipline, and a sense that you can move things forward, even if it still takes effort.

 

Level 4: Compassion
Something shifts in how you see yourself. You begin to understand your reactions instead of judging them. You see others with more awareness too. You are less reactive and more present in how you respond. This is where connection deepens and where you start giving yourself space instead of pressure.

 

Level 5: Opportunity
You begin to see things differently. Challenges are no longer just problems, they become opportunities to grow, to learn, to move forward. There is more creativity here, more openness, and a sense that things might actually be working in your favor.

 

Level 6: Synthesis
This is where everything starts to come together. You can hold different perspectives without feeling pulled in every direction. You respond with clarity instead of reacting quickly. There is a deeper trust in yourself and in the process, and your decisions feel more aligned.

 

Level 7: Non-Judgment
This is a state of deep awareness and trust. You are not trying to control, prove, or force anything. There is acceptance in how you see situations and yourself. You are grounded in who you are and how you show up, and from here, everything feels lighter and more intentional.

You move through these levels every single day. This is not about staying at the highest level all the time. It is about recognizing where you are without judgment and having the awareness to shift when it matters. That awareness is what changes how you experience everything.
